The 100% Campaign, a children's health care advocacy group, released a report saying that many kids do not stay enrolled in Healthy Families and Medi-Cal, despite eligibility.
Governor Davis presented the 2003-2004 Budget to address an estimated $35 billion deficit. For the most part, funding for the state's Healthy Families program and children's health insurance coverage will remain protected. However, he proposed to cut funding for Healthy Families outreach.
