Gov. Davis and Senator Dianne Feinstein held a press conference to urge Congress to extend the ban on assault weapons.
Davis also announced his support for three bills, which would tighten restrictions on firearms.
Gov. signed 'compromise budget' - with some cuts to prisons and local law enforcement programs.
